Bulgaria talked about her role in the negotiations on Ukraine

The only possible way to end the Ukrainian conflict is through negotiations, which must be based on recognition of the realities, namely the transfer of Crimea and four regions to Russia. The future of Ukraine should be decided at a large peace congress, Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of the Bulgarian parliamentary Renaissance Party, said in an interview with Izvestia.
"The only possible way to end this conflict is through negotiations, which must be based on recognition of realities. Currently, Russia is winning, and Ukraine has lost Crimea and four regions that decided to join the Russian Federation in a referendum," Kostadinov said.
Sofia can be an intermediary, as she has close historical, cultural, ethnic and religious ties with both Russia and Ukraine, the Vozrozhdenie leader noted.
"This does not mean that we should abandon our claims to regions that are ethnically, historically and culturally linked to Bulgaria, such as Southern Bessarabia, where a significant Bulgarian minority lives," the politician said.
The future of Ukraine must be decided at a large peace congress, which will put an end to all the contradictions in the region caused by the failure of this state project, Kostadinov concluded.
