The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of the Russian military in the special operation zone

On March 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen committed in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of Private Daniil Kovalev, who, as part of the unit, carried out a combat mission to liberate one of the settlements from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). During the offensive operations, Kovalev discovered a well-camouflaged enemy stronghold on the outskirts of the village, secretly made his way to the flank of the Ukrainian militants and suddenly broke into the enemy position, destroying part of the militants.

Then a group of Russian servicemen, taking advantage of a gap in the defense of the enemy stronghold, knocked the enemy out of their positions and gained a foothold there. Kovalev also organized a firing position and, acting in the most difficult area, held a strong point, repelling enemy attacks. After that, reinforcements arrived at the stronghold from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the enemy finally retreated.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Sergeant Alexander Malyutin, commanding the tank crew, carried out the task of ousting the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions. So, during the offensive in the area of one of the settlements, the crew of Sergeant Malyutin's tank destroyed the enemy's long-term firing points and broke through his defenses.

Moving on, skillfully maneuvering the tank between anti-tank barriers and minefields set up by the enemy, he also destroyed two mortar positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with calculations. At the same time, developing the offensive, Malyutin hampered the actions of the defending Ukrainian militants, which ensured the passage of the main forces of the Russian army group deep into the enemy's defenses.

On March 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that crews of 130-millimeter towed M-46 howitzers of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces destroyed a platoon strongpoint, military equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov direction during firing missions. Artillery crews use high-explosive fragmentation ammunition.
