Butterflies, beetles and bedbugs have woken up in Moscow. This was announced on Sunday, March 30, on the website of the Moscow City Hall with reference to biologists.

Insects in the capital begin to wake up in early spring, when the average daily temperature rises above +5 degrees. Some of the awakened insects are listed in the Red Book of Moscow and are under special protection.

In March, invertebrates behave cautiously. Their activity occurs mainly in the middle of the day, when the sun is high and the temperature is at its maximum. The dark coloration of many insect species helps them to accumulate heat faster. On cloudy days and in the mornings, they prefer to stay in shelters, saving energy, according to the Moscow City News agency.

Butterflies can already be seen near the primroses: lemongrass, hairy moth, urticaria and common polychrome. When dandelions and mother-and-stepmother begin to bloom, there will be more of them, RIAMO clarifies.

In addition, ladybugs come to life in the sun—warmed areas in early spring - real orderlies of city parks. You can also see whole clusters of soldier bugs in the glades. From March to October, they accumulate in large groups on tree trunks, bushes and in the grass, forming living carpets that shimmer in the sun, Moscow 24 notes.

March 12th Life.ru He wrote that the butterfly season had started in the capital due to the early spring.
