- Trump promised to impose restrictions on oil from the Russian Federation in case of failure of the Ukraine deal.

US President Donald Trump has announced that he will impose secondary duties on Russian oil exports in the absence of an agreement with Russia to end the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported on March 30 by NBC News.
"If Russia and I cannot agree on ending the bloodshed in Ukraine, <...> I will impose secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming from Russia," Trump said.
The US president also threatened Iran with bombing and secondary duties if the country does not conclude a deal guaranteeing the abandonment of the development of nuclear weapons. Officials of the countries are currently negotiating on this topic.
Earlier, on March 27, Trump said that the United States would impose even tougher duties on goods from the European Union and Canada in the event of anti-American cooperation between Ottawa and Brussels. The President added that the United States was the best friend Canada and Europe had ever had.
