American actor Richard Chamberlain has died at the age of 90.

American actor Richard Chamberlain, known for his roles in the TV series "Shogun" and "Singing in the Blackthorn," has died at the age of 90. This was reported by Variety magazine on March 30.
"Chamberlain's death was confirmed to Variety magazine by publicist Harlan Ball. The actor died on Saturday, March 29, at 23:15 Hawaii time (12:15 on March 30 Moscow time) in Waimanalo, Hawaii," the publication says.
According to the magazine, the actor died of complications after suffering a stroke.
Chamberlain became famous in the 1960s in the medical series "Dr. Kildare", and then became a star of mini-series. He became famous for his role as an ambitious Australian priest in the film adaptation of the novel "Singing in the Thorn."
