Iran, in a reply letter to Trump, denied the United States direct negotiations.

Iran, in a reply letter to the American leader Donald Trump, refused direct negotiations, but noted that there is still an opportunity to continue dialogue through intermediaries. This was announced on March 30 by Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian.
"Iran has never shied away from negotiations, and only the violation of obligations [by the United States] has caused problems along the way, which must certainly be compensated, and trust [in the United States] restored," Peseshkian said. His words are quoted on the president's website.
Peseshkian added that this form of Washington's behavior will determine the continuation of the negotiation path.
Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said on March 27 that the country rules out the possibility of holding nuclear talks with the United States until Washington stops exerting pressure on Tehran. He stressed that the dual strategy of the United States, where soft words are followed by harsh actions, will not work against Iran.
