The second lobby of the Rizhskaya BKL station of the Moscow Metro will be erected near the intersection of Mira Avenue and Vodopodny Lane. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

"The work is extremely difficult. There is dense urban development nearby, operating metro stations, railway and major highways — the TTK and Prospekt Mira," the metropolitan mayor emphasized.

The lobby will be connected to the station by an inclined tunnel with escalators, one of the longest in the metropolitan subway. To date, mining operations have been completed.

One of the key features of the new lobby will be an art panel, which will be placed in the ticket hall. The stained glass window will depict historical buildings associated with the area of Riga Square. The central place in the composition will be occupied by the lost Krestovsky water towers, and along the edges you can see graphic images of elements of the old Mytishchi water pipeline.
