Investigators learned about new crimes committed by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Martynovka in the border Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. This was announced on March 30 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Svetlana Petrenko.
She noted that the department's staff continues to interview civilians in the region who witnessed the crimes of the Ukrainian military. People told law enforcement officers that the militants, who invaded the territory of the Kursk region illegally, placed their military equipment in private residential areas, set fire to the houses of local residents and looted.
"Due to these circumstances, the Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated a criminal case on the grounds of crimes provided for in paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act") and paragraphs "a", "c" of Part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Looting")," Petrenko said. the words of which are given in the Telegram channel of the UK.
During the preliminary investigation, experts will identify and bring to justice the Ukrainian militants involved in these crimes.
Petrenko said on March 29 that the body of another civilian killed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was found in the village of Pogrebki in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. Investigators are working to identify the deceased, and the circumstances of the crime are being investigated.
