Retired Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis of the United States Armed Forces called on Western countries to take the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin seriously. He stated this on March 29 on his YouTube channel.

"[The British Prime Minister] Keir Starmer, [President of France] Emmanuel Macron, obviously [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky — they make all kinds of bold statements all the time, which are not supported by anything in reality. This is not the case. This is not the situation with the Russian president. His words are much more thoughtful," Davis said, commenting on Putin's words about the opportunity to finish off the Ukrainian militants.

Davis drew attention to the fact that the Russian army is advancing along the entire front line and this can be seen on the maps.

On March 27, Vladimir Putin announced that the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) had been liberated by Russian troops by 99%, the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions had been liberated by more than 70%. In this regard, the head of state continued, there is reason to believe that Russian troops will finish off the Ukrainian militants.
