Syrian leader al-Sharaa announced the formation of a new government

Interim Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa announced the formation of a new government of "creation and change." This was announced on March 30 by the press service of the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the Telegram channel.

Speaking at a ceremony at the Qasr al-Shaab Presidential Palace, the Syrian leader assured that a new chapter had begun in the country's history. He promised to build a strong and stable state and assured that he would not allow corruption to enter any state institutions, the Al Hadath channel quoted him as saying.

The Government includes 23 technocrat ministers, including one woman, Hind Kabwat. It is specified that she headed the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor of Syria. Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Defense Ministry of the Syrian Transitional Government, and Murhaf Abu Qasra retained their positions in the new cabinet.

The Syria TV channel reported on March 13 that the interim Syrian leader ratified the country's Constitutional Declaration for the Transitional Period on March 13, which was developed by a special committee. It was noted that the transition period in the republic will last five years. The committee on the development of the declaration also pointed out that one of its provisions enshrines freedom of the media and guarantees women's rights to education and work.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted on March 11 that Russia would like to see Syria a prosperous country and is ready to work together with other states to stabilize the situation in the republic. The Russian president's spokesman stressed that Moscow wants stability in the highly volatile Middle East.
