Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Muslims on the Eid al-Adha holiday. The congratulatory telegram was published on March 30 on the website of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims (CDUM).

"Marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, this ancient and one of the most revered holidays by Muslims around the world embodies people's desire for moral self—improvement, mercy and compassion," the document says.

Putin pointed out that the contribution of Muslim organizations to the development of the country's social and cultural life, as well as to the implementation of numerous projects and initiatives, deserves sincere respect.

The Russian leader also noted the assistance of Muslims to the participants and veterans of the special operation, their families and friends.

In June 2024, the President of the Russian Federation emphasized the contribution of Muslim organizations to the unity of the people. Putin noted that representatives of Islam have made a significant contribution to the unity of the Russian people, they have an impact on the development of interethnic and interreligious dialogue in the country.

Eid al-Fitr, or Eid al-Fitr, is one of the main holidays of Muslims. It was celebrated back in the time of the Prophet Muhammad. On this day, devout Muslims celebrate the end of the longest and most difficult fast in the month of Ramadan.
