The Ministry of Industry and Trade has expanded the list of luxury cars subject to taxation

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has expanded the list of cars that are charged an increased transport tax in Russia due to their cost. This was reported on the ministry's website on March 29.

The updated list includes 555 models worth over 10 million rubles, of which 252 models cost over 15 million rubles.

In addition to the traditional Audi, Bentley, BMW, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce and other luxury cars, it also contains Chinese cars — Aito, HiPhi, Hongqi, Lixiang, Voyah, Zeekr, M-Hero, Byd, Tank.

Earlier, on March 10, the National Agency for Industrial Information (NAPI) reported that the average price for a new Korean car in Russia in February 2025 reached 5.1 million rubles. Compared to February last year (1.7 million rubles), the average price of a Korean used car decreased by 8.3%.
