Ecuador has begun preparing for the deployment of American troops.

Ecuador has begun preparations for the arrival of American troops, and the country's president, Daniel Noboa, is going to appeal to US leader Donald Trump to help in the fight against gangs in the country. This was reported on March 29 by CNN.
The publication clarifies that a new naval facility is being built in the coastal city of Manta, barracks and offices for the US military will appear there. An Ecuadorian official, who wished to remain anonymous, noted that the facility is needed for permanent operations.
According to the TV channel, Noboa seeks to achieve the presence of foreign forces on the territory of the republic, as local gangs terrorize the whole country. The Ecuadorian leader is also going to meet with Trump and discuss this initiative in the framework of security cooperation.
"We have a plan with our law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the armed forces, the strategic Intelligence center, as well as international assistance and support from special forces. This is important," the president said in an interview with the TV channel.
Earlier, on February 11, a US Army unit was deployed in Estonia at the Reedo military base near the border with Russia. It was specified that the regiment's service would last until September. In addition, it was noted that the unit is equipped with "the most modern equipment." This battalion is a reconnaissance battalion and will take part in all exercises.
