- Defense Ministry: Kiev has increased attacks on the Russian energy sector, contrary to Zelensky's promises

Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have carried out several attacks on power grids, substations and transformers in the Belgorod region. This was announced on March 29 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"On March 28, at about 05:30 in the Belgorod region, as a result of a UAV attack on the facility of the Rosseti Center branch of PJSC Belgorodenergo and a wire break, the 35 kV Aidar — Bely Kolodez high—voltage line was disconnected," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Due to attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The APU has damaged transformers, shut down substations and cut off power supply. More than 1.1 thousand consumers in the Grayvoronsky district and more than 8 thousand in Borisovsky remained de-energized, the department added.
Despite the statement by the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, on the adoption of a moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to attack Russian energy facilities.
Earlier, on March 28, it became known that the militants of the Kiev regime attacked the Sudzha gas measuring station using various types of UAVs, as well as the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system. The Russian Defense Ministry said that the facility had actually been destroyed.
On March 19, Zelensky promised to abandon attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, but on the night of March 21, Ukrainian armed forces blew up the Suja GIS.
