US President Donald Trump may end up in prison if the Democratic candidate wins the next presidential election. This was announced on March 29 by former presidential adviser Steve Bannon.

"God forbid, if we don't win in 2028, President Trump will go to prison," The Hill quoted him as saying.

Bannon recalled that the criminal cases brought against Trump were effectively terminated when he assumed the presidency. The former adviser did not specify on what charges Trump could be sent to prison.

He also warned that Democrats would try to remove Trump from office if they "retake" the House of Representatives next year.

On March 27, Trump announced the need to review the country's judicial system, calling the courts in Washington and New York the most corrupt and radical.

On January 21, The New York Post reported on the release of the first participants in the storming of the Capitol in 2021. After his inauguration, Trump signed a decree pardoning 1.5 thousand participants of the event. On January 12, it became known that Special prosecutor Jack Smith completed his work on two criminal investigations into the forgery of financial documents against Trump and resigned.
