For the first time in Russia, an Aurora — unmanned Aviation Systems drone flew between cities in neighboring regions according to all the rules of civil aviation. This was announced on March 29 in the press service of the government of the Sakhalin region.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flew along the route Okha city, Sakhalin Region — Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory.

"There were no special zones, there were no special permits, which is a historic moment for aviation...> no one has ever done such work in the country," Konstantin Sukhorebrik, CEO of Aurora Airlines, told TASS.

He added that the flight went according to schedule, observing all aviation laws.

The company is engaged in cargo transportation and filming of large areas using heavy drones.
