- Konyukhov completed the crossing of two oceans on the 144th day due to boat breakdowns

Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov completed a 144-day crossing of two oceans due to numerous failures of the Akros boat's control and life support systems. He stated this on March 29 in his Telegram channel.
"A new one has been added to the current malfunctions — the autopilot control unit has completely failed," he said.
Konyukhov explained that in the event of a storm, the boat would not be able to stay on the set course, which would lead to overturns and critical damage.
In the coming days, the traveler's boat will be lifted. If this cannot be done, Konyukhov will carry out the conservation of all systems, and she will drift towards Australia with the Iridium Rock Star satellite buoy turned on for possible towing to the port.
Earlier, on March 15, it was reported that Konyukhov spent 100 days in the Southern Ocean, having covered about half of the route from South America to Australia on the rowing boat Akros. It was noted that he would need to cross the South Atlantic and the Southern Indian Ocean to reach the shores of Western Australia. The voyage was designed for about 200 days.
In July last year, Konyukhov set a world record by drifting at a single polar station SP-24 near the North Pole in almost 21 days.
