A plane with passengers on board made an emergency landing at Gagarin Airport in Saratov due to a malfunction. This was announced on March 29 by the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (MCT) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"On the afternoon of March 29, 2025, an aircraft with passengers on board made an emergency landing at Gagarin Airport in Saratov. The aircraft commander, noticing the malfunction, requested an emergency landing," the department's Telegram channel says.

They clarified that the plane landed successfully without being damaged, and the passengers were not injured.

The Saratov Investigative Department for Transport of the Western Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is conducting a pre-investigation check under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Law enforcement officers are examining the scene and carrying out other activities that will help establish the circumstances of the incident.

On March 27, the landing gear of an AN-124 Ruslan cargo plane caught fire at Mineralnye Vody Airport. There was a crew of eight people on board the aircraft, they were not injured. The fire was extinguished by the airport forces.
