A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In the area of operation of the Southern Grouping, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 300 soldiers, a tank, a US-made HMMWV armored vehicle, five vehicles and an ammunition depot. In the areas where the Dnipro group operates, the Ukrainian army lost more than 70 people, an electronic warfare station (EW) and a car.

In addition, Russian fighters hit the infrastructure of military airfields, assembly shops, storage and control points for drones, ammunition depots and locations of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 148 districts.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 660 aircraft, 1532 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 283 helicopters, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23064 field artillery and mortar guns, 22569 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 48952 unmanned aerial vehicles, 33499 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
