The Ministry of Internal Affairs listed the actions in case of passport loss abroad

In case of loss of a passport abroad, a citizen should contact the Embassy of the Russian Federation. This was announced on March 29 by the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"In order for the attackers to be unable to use the lost passport, the citizen must immediately report its loss to the diplomatic mission or consular office of the Russian Federation in the country of residence," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the foreign passport will be marked by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as invalid due to loss from the date of receipt of the relevant message from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

To return to the Russian Federation, a citizen will be issued a certificate of entry into the country. Upon arrival, you must contact the migration department of the local body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and submit an application for the loss of your passport, as well as for its restoration, the department noted.
