Sobyanin spoke about the popularity of Moscow parks

Last year, Moscow's parks were visited over 177 million times, which was a record high. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
"The secret of success lies in the variety of venues and a rich program for children and adults," the mayor wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to him, almost fifty ice rinks, 85 ski trails, and more than 20 tubing and ice skating slides were opened in Moscow parks last winter.
In the summer of 2024, 13 swimming pools and 10 open-air cinemas were operating in the parks, and "special picnic areas with gazebos that can be booked online" were also equipped, Sobyanin said.
According to the mayor, more than 30,000 events are planned to be held in Moscow parks this summer. It is expected that over 50 million people will become their guests.
Earlier in March, Sobyanin announced that the main theme of Moscow's city festivals and cultural program this year would be the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to the mayor, Poklonnaya Gora will traditionally be the central location. Various events will also be held in the districts of the capital, in parks, theaters, museums, libraries and other cultural institutions, he added.
