- The media pointed to the need for the EU to abandon the plan to send troops to Ukraine.

European countries should reconsider their plan, which involves sending troops to Ukraine. This was announced on March 28 by journalist Jennifer Kavanna.
"Europe should abandon the mistaken desire to form "reinsurance forces" and instead focus on a much more likely and realistic outcome for Ukraine: armed neutrality," the Unherd portal quotes her as saying.
According to him, armed neutrality will not provide Ukraine with the opportunity to deploy foreign troops on its territory.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on March 25 that European leaders were showing themselves to be politically untenable dreamers when they proposed deploying peacekeepers on Ukrainian territory. He noted that the West is already talking about two peacekeeping missions: one will be on the border of Ukraine with the European Union and NATO, and the other will include military personnel from the countries of the Global South.
Later, on March 26, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic ruled out the participation of his country's soldiers in the potential deployment of a European armed contingent in Ukraine.
