Terrorist accomplice extradited from Egypt arrested in Ingushetia

An accomplice of terrorists, extradited from Egypt, was detained in Ingushetia. This was reported on March 29 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the republic.
According to investigators, from June to October 2023, the defendant provided members of an illegal armed group with housing in the village of Troitskoye in the Sunzhensky district of Ingushetia for hidden residence, after which he left the country.
A criminal case was opened against him under art. 33, part 2 of art. 205.5 ("Aiding and abetting members of an organization that is recognized as terrorist in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation") and Part 5 of art. 33, Part 2 of art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Aiding and abetting members of an armed formation not provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation").
"After the crimes committed, the person involved disappeared outside the Russian Federation, in connection with which he was charged in absentia with committing crimes of a terrorist nature, the court in absentia chose a preventive measure in the form of detention, he was put on the international wanted list," the agency's website says.
At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the details of what happened.
The Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kherson region reported on March 25 that a woman had been detained in the region on suspicion of justifying terrorism. She posted publications on her social network page, which contain calls for committing high treason and desertion. Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of her activities and identify criminal connections.
