The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) received the first batch of Su-35S fighters from Rostec State Corporation in 2025. This was announced on March 29 in the company's Telegram channel.

"The first Su-35s have been sent to the troops this year. The planes were manufactured by our United Aircraft Corporation and have already flown to their home airfield," Rostec said in a statement.

The state corporation said that the Su-35S is a multifunctional fighter of the 4++ generation with two engines, a digital navigation system and a controlled thrust vector. The aircraft has improved flight performance and maneuverability.

"The pilots highly appreciate the characteristics of the Su-35S. The fighters are equipped with advanced weapons and long-range information and sighting systems," said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.

He noted that the Su-35S are designed to strike at ground and surface targets at any time of the day, including in difficult weather conditions. It is important that the fighter can be used at a great distance from the home airfield.

The aircraft passed all factory tests, and the technical staff accepted them. In addition, the pilots of the Russian Ministry of Defense have tested these aircraft in different operating modes.

Vadim Badekha, CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), noted that the primary task is to accelerate the production of military products for which there is great demand. This applies primarily to the Su-34, Su-35 and Su-57 aircraft, and it is planned to increase the production of each of these modifications in 2025. To do this, UAC will expand production, he added.

In February, UAC delivered the first PD-8 engines to Komsomolsk-on-Amur for flight testing of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional passenger aircraft. The device was manufactured at the ODK-Saturn enterprise. Its power plant was created taking into account the production of the more powerful PD-14, Rostec clarified.
