Rescuers pumped water out of 12 households in Irkutsk region


In three days in the village of Khomutovo, Irkutsk region, rescuers pumped water out of 12 households. This was announced on March 29 by the governor of the region Igor Kobzev.
"I am grateful to the rescue students of the Irkutsk, Ziminsky and Sayansky city branches of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps. They provided targeted assistance to residents of houses that were flooded," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Kobzev clarified that the pumping work was carried out in houses located on Ternovaya, Teplichnaya, Sibirskaya, Izumrudnaya and Vladimirskaya streets.
The governor added that employees of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Irkutsk Region will continue to monitor the situation until the consequences of the emergency are fully eliminated. At the same time, warming and active snowmelt are expected from March 29 to April 4.
Kobzev reported on March 23 that 29 residential buildings and 192 household plots were flooded in the Irkutsk region. Operational services continue to work around the clock in the affected areas.
