Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider qualified for the doubles final of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Miami, USA, on March 29. This is reported on the official page of the association in the social network X (ex. Twitter).

In the semifinals of the competition, athletes from the Russian Federation beat two Chinese women, Wu Fangxien and Jiang Xinyu, 6-0 and 7-5 in two sets, Sport-Express reports.

The game lasted 1 hour and four minutes, Andreeva and Schneider made six of seven break points, served straight once and made one double mistake. The Chinese athletes made five double faults, made two break points and never served straight.

Spanish tennis player Kristina Buksha and Japanese Mia Kato are waiting for the Russians in the final.

Earlier, on March 16, Andreeva won her second consecutive WTA tournament and rose to third place, scoring 2.5 thousand points. In the final of the competition, the Russian beat the Belarusian Arina Sobolenko, and then the Polish Iga Schwentek. At the same time, Andreeva became the youngest athlete in the last 40 years to beat the first and second rackets of the world — the tennis player achieved this at the age of 17 years and 299 days.
