Brazilian President Silva refused to communicate with Zelensky's envoy

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva refused to negotiate with former Italian Prime Minister Massimo d'Alema, who arrived at the request of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by La Repubblica on March 27.
It is clarified that Zelensky addressed d'Alema on the sidelines of the Balkan initiative.
"He (Zelensky — Ed.) clearly told me that his country is in danger of disaster, because "the Americans will leave sooner or later, and the Europeans are unreliable," the former Italian prime minister is quoted as saying in the publication.
According to the newspaper, the President of Ukraine asked d'Alema to meet with the Brazilian leader and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to the former Italian prime minister, Lula da Silva "almost kicked him out", saying that Ukraine was a problem for the United States.
On March 25, US President Donald Trump said at the White House that great progress had been made with both Russia and Ukraine during the negotiations in Riyadh. According to him, the discussions are progressing positively. The US President also noted that the implementation of the armistice agreement in the Black Sea is the least of all problems.
Negotiations between the Russian and American expert groups in Riyadh took place on March 24. They lasted 12 hours. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Russia and the United States will continue contacts after the talks in Riyadh.
