The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the indexation of financial assistance to victims of emergencies from April 1.

The Government of the Russian Federation has adopted draft resolutions prepared by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, according to which, from April 1, 2025, the amount of financial assistance to victims in emergency situations will be indexed by 4.5%. This was announced on March 29 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"The Department has carried out work on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. This year, it was decided to index the amount of payments by 4.5%. Increased payments will be credited to the victims starting from April 1 of this year," the press service of the department quoted the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the amounts of one-time material and financial assistance to citizens in connection with the loss of essential property and one-time allowances will be indexed.

Now the one-time financial assistance will amount to 15,675 rubles. Financial assistance in case of partial loss of essential property — 78,375, and in case of total loss — 156,750. Payments to relatives of the victims will amount to 1,567,500 rubles, payments for harm to health — up to 627,000, depending on the severity.

So far, some rivers are flooded, while others have critically low water levels.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced on March 13 that the Russian government would allocate 2.5 billion rubles to the Kursk Region to support the affected industrial enterprises. He drew attention to the fact that support measures are provided for firms, including grants, subsidies for employee downtime, equipment leasing benefits, deferrals on taxes and insurance premiums, as well as the supply of vehicles for mobile commerce.
