- The NYT reported on the court's suspension of actions to eliminate the Voice of America radio

The Federal Court of New York has temporarily suspended the actions of the administration of US President Donald Trump to eliminate the Voice of America radio station (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). The New York Times (NYT) wrote about this on March 28.
"A federal judge has temporarily suspended the Trump administration's efforts to dismantle the Voice of America, a government—funded international broadcaster whose alleged closure has alarmed defenders of press freedom," the newspaper said.
According to the newspaper, the lawsuit alleges that the administration's actions, such as sending hundreds of the organization's journalists on paid leave, violated the rights of journalists.
The Washington Post (WP) reported on March 22 that employees of the Voice of America radio station filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after allegedly illegally shutting down the media. It was clarified that the lawsuit was filed in a New York court. According to the plaintiffs, the closure of the radio station is illegal.
Prior to that, on March 16, it was reported that Voice of America and Radio Liberty (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) had suspended operations after the decision of the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM) to stop funding them. This was due to Trump's executive order to cut government spending.
