Nutritionist, nutritionist, psychologist, author of the book and methodology "Eat. Read. Lose weight" Zoya Bogdanova reminded about the dangers of express diets, as they disrupt the metabolism. She told about it on March 29 in an interview with Sputnik radio.

The publication, citing data from the Yandex Wordstat system, clarified that over the past month, the average Internet query for the word "diet" has exceeded more than three million. Bogdanova, in turn, noted that on the eve of summer, people are looking for ways to lose weight, including express diets for quick results. The nutritionist stressed that such diets are dangerous to health.

"Express diets are about stimulating metabolic processes. Such weight loss methods induce stress, which leads to the synthesis of cortisol. And it, in turn, slows down the nervous system and all metabolic processes," the expert emphasized.

As Bogdanova notes, express diets give quick results, but in the long run they lead to negative results.

"Slimness is a long—term prospect that takes time. Immediately at the moment, we cannot get the desired result. The first thing you need to pay attention to when losing weight is concentration on your goal, the second is nutrition, water and sleep, and the third is physical activity," concluded the nutritionist.

Nutritionist and nutritionist Roman Pristansky told Russians on March 26 that avoiding carbohydrates four hours before bedtime would help with weight loss. He also noted that the main problem of diets is severe excesses in nutrition, and in them the most important thing is to understand your own energy consumption with an activity coefficient.
