The minimum amount for a family to buy the most necessary things has been named.


In 2024, families in Russia needed an average of 73.9 thousand rubles to buy only the most basic necessities. This was reported on March 29 by RIA Novosti with reference to data from a study conducted by Rosstat.
So, according to the department, a family living in the city needs 74.2 thousand rubles per month, and in rural areas — 72.5 thousand rubles. At the same time, the cost of covering the minimum needs of families with children will cost about 100 thousand rubles.
Families with many children (114.2 thousand rubles), as well as families with disabled children (101.2 thousand rubles), require the most per month for necessary goods. The share of families who can easily afford to pay for all necessary expenses was 34.8% last year. In 2022, only 26.3% of families could afford it.
At the same time, 5.8% of households face serious difficulties, while in 2022 this figure was 9.3%. In 2022, the minimum monthly income required to run a household was 67.5 thousand rubles.
The Rosstat survey takes place every two years and covers 60,000 households. It is based on a sample survey of representatives of various groups and segments of the population living in the regions of Russia.
