Crews of 152-millimeter Hyacinth-S self-propelled artillery units of the 40th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet of the Vostok group of Forces attacked positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Yuzhnodonets direction of a special military operation, destroying enemy manpower and strongholds. This was announced on March 29 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the ministry, after receiving the exact coordinates, the gunners aimed their guns at the target, hitting a camouflaged stronghold.

At the same time, the calculations regularly not only destroy the identified firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also perform tasks by hitting enemy artillery as part of counter-battery warfare. It is noted that the transition time of the Hyacinth-S from a marching position to a combat position is no more than four minutes, the rate of fire reaches 5-6 rounds per minute, and the firing range is up to 30 km.

"There are different tasks. We can work both on a pull-out gun, and we can also work with a tow gun. There are different targets, from self-propelled artillery installations to enemy manpower, through dugouts. It doesn't matter to us, the range allows us to work on anyone," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Baikal.

On March 28, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the calculation of the Pantsir-S 49-1 combined arms army of the Dnepr group of forces struck an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the agency, the calculation of the complex detected the target and identified it as an enemy attack drone that was flying towards one of the settlements of the Zaporizhia region.
