The head coach of the Brazilian national football team, Dorival Junior, has been dismissed from his position. This was announced on March 29 by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"Coach Dorival Junior is no longer in charge of the Brazilian national team. The federation's leadership thanks the specialist and wishes him success in his future career. From now on, CBF will work on finding his replacement," the organization said in a statement.

ESPN reported on March 6 that the head coach of the French football club Lyon, Paulo Fonseca, was disqualified for nine months for assaulting a referee in the French championship match against Brest. It was clarified that the Lyon coach came into conflict with the chief referee, leaning too close to him to make claims. After Fonsek was removed from the field for being rude to the referee, he punched him in the face.
