Stacks of documents containing classified military information were found scattered along a Newcastle street in Northeast England. This was announced on March 28 by the BBC Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

According to her, the documents discovered by a man passing by contained information, including the ranks of military personnel, their email addresses, duty schedules, information on the issue of weapons, as well as data related to access to the weapons storage and intrusion detection system.

Another document, according to the newspaper, was classified. According to government guidelines, in some cases this may mean that inadvertent disclosure of such information may pose a "threat to life."

According to information security consultant Gary Hibberd, leaking data from such documents poses a "significant" threat to military personnel, as they can be easily found through social media and even harassed.

The British Ministry of Defense said that the incident is being investigated urgently, and an internal investigation has been launched.

On March 25, the Atlantic magazine published a scandalous publication about a data leak discussing attacks on the Houthis by the US administration. Jeffrey Goldberg, the magazine's editor-in-chief, said that on March 11, he received a request to connect to Signal from a user named Mike Waltz, and two days later he received a notification about being added to a group chat called "The Houthis are a small group." Later, a user named Pete Hegseth posted a message that contained details of the upcoming strikes against the Houthis.

Trump said on March 25 that he was not upset about the scandal with the leak of data on strikes in Yemen and considered the incident an "insignificant glitch." Later, he also announced that he was not going to fire Hegseth because of the incident, and noted that Waltz had assumed responsibility for the incident.
