The Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip reported 896 deaths since the resumption of Israeli attacks.

Since March 18, 896 people have been killed and another 1,984 injured in the Gaza Strip as a result of renewed Israeli attacks on the Palestinian enclave. This was announced on March 28 by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Gaza.

"Over the past 24 hours, 43 people have died, and another 115 injured have been taken to hospitals in the Gaza Strip. <...> The total number of dead and injured since March 18, 2025 has reached 896 dead and 1984 injured," the ministry said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that some victims are still under the rubble, and ambulance crews cannot reach them. Since October 7, 2023, the number of victims as a result of Israeli attacks has increased to 50,251 people, 114,025 were injured, the ministry said.

Al Jazeera TV channel reported on March 28 that about 50 people, including women and children, had been killed in Israeli strikes in Gaza over the past day.

On March 27, the press service of the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that more than 180 children had been killed after the resumption of bombing in Gaza. On the same day, the head of UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini, announced that eight agency employees had died over the past week.

On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. On the same day, the media reported that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
