Russian cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov, who returned to Earth from the International Space Station (ISS) on March 19, arrived in Zvezdny Gorodok, Moscow region, where he was warmly welcomed by his family, colleagues in the squad and specialists from the Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC). Footage of the meeting on March 28 appeared at the disposal of Izvestia.

The footage shows Gorbunov getting out of the car to solemn music and loud applause, after which he approaches his colleagues who are meeting him. In their hands they have a loaf on an embroidered towel and flowers. The cameras of the journalists at this moment capture every moment of a warm welcome.

The cosmonaut told Izvestia that, despite the increased overload at the beginning, which was felt quite strongly, the landing was excellent, without unnecessary adventures and was quite soft.

Recovery after spending six months at the station, he added, was surprisingly fast and cheerful.

According to Gorbunov, the station has the opportunity to make phone calls at almost any free time, even via video, so there is no separation from home and Land.

"I think we can stay here for a couple of weeks and it's time to get ready," the cosmonaut shared his plans.

The Crew Dragon Freedom spacecraft with Gorbunov successfully landed on March 19 off the coast of Florida. The crew of the Crew-9 mission landed at 00:57 Moscow time. In addition to Gorbunov, astronauts Nick Hague, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore returned to Earth.
