- The Iranian Foreign Ministry reported on the negotiations with Europe on the nuclear program

A new round of negotiations between Iran and the United Kingdom, Germany, and France on the nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions against Tehran took place in Geneva on Thursday, March 27. This was announced on March 28 by Iranian Foreign Minister Esmail Bagai.
"A new round of talks was held at the expert level in Geneva on Thursday to discuss and exchange views on various aspects of the issue, both in the field of lifting sanctions and in the nuclear sphere," the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a Telegram channel.
On March 23, the Iranian Foreign Ministry called the current form of the nuclear deal unviable. On March 19, the Axios portal, citing sources, reported that Washington had set a two-month deadline for concluding a new nuclear deal with Tehran. It was clarified that it is not yet clear whether the two-month period starts from the moment the letter is delivered or from the moment negotiations begin.
Pavel Feldman, Candidate of Political Sciences, professor at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, noted on March 24 in a conversation with Izvestia that the escalation around Iran will grow in the coming months — the United States may strike at the nuclear facilities of the Middle Eastern state.
Stephen Witkoff, special envoy of the American President Donald Trump, said on March 23 that the United States could start a military conflict with Iran if alternative ways to overcome differences between states did not bring effect. According to him, the United States will continue to insist on the inadmissibility for Iran to have nuclear weapons and to develop in this direction.
