Six children fell through the ice of the It River in the Yaroslavl region. This was announced on March 28 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
It is specified that the incident occurred in the village of Ustye. Six children between the ages of 10 and 12 went out on the ice of the river. Hearing their screams, a local resident rushed to help and called rescuers.
"The kids were able to get ashore. Fortunately, no one was injured," the department's Telegram channel says.
The inspectors of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene and held a preventive conversation with the children.
On February 8, the Khabarovsk Territory Prosecutor's Office reported that in the urban-type settlement of Okhotsk, two children aged five and seven fell through the ice of a reservoir to cool a power plant and drowned. It was found that the children were playing near the source. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence to two or more persons"). It is under the control of the Prosecutor's Office.
