The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has sent two planes with rescuers to Myanmar to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake. This was announced on March 28 by the head of the department's consolidated squad, Sergey Vorontsov.

The combined squad of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations included 120 rescuers from the Centrospas airmobile squad and the Leader Center for Special Risk Rescue Operations. In addition, anesthesiologists and psychologists from the Russian department went to the scene of the incident.
