As Yaroslav, a tourist, told Izvestia, at the moment the Bangkok metro is temporarily not working, which is why traffic jams have increased on the roads, and some streets are blocked. At the same time, the city continues to function.
"The restaurants are open, behind me, in the background, the signs are all lit, people are walking, cars are driving, that is, there is no panic in the city. <...> The only thing is, there are more traffic jams, and the subway is closed. Yes, it's a small transport collapse. But it's all tolerable," said journalist Anton Dryanichkin.
