Flood-ravaged road began to be repaired in the Chelyabinsk region

In the Krasnoarmeysky district of the Chelyabinsk region, the Miasskoye – Cherkasovo –Sychevo road, destroyed by the flood, began to be restored. The regional Ministry of Roads and Transport announced this in its Telegram channel on Friday, March 28.

"The road services have begun to eliminate the consequences of the flood in the Krasnoarmeysky district. It is necessary to restore local sections of the roadway, roadsides and the slope," the message says.

The department notes that the new road was destroyed as a result of being washed away by meltwater. According to the <url> news agency, from March 18 to March 20, four overflows occurred, which caused the asphalt to crack and the slopes to collapse.

The Miasskoe –Sychevo road was built last year, the cost of the work amounted to 120 million rubles. The contractor at the facility was DSK Yuzhny Ural, which will have to restore the roadway in the next two weeks.
