Vasilina Mironova, an expert on healthy skin, co-head of the cosmetology clinic, told who it is dangerous to expose their skin to the sun in the summer.

In conversation with aif.ru On Friday, March 28, the specialist said that with the onset of summer and increased solar activity, people with certain skin diseases and features should be careful. Thus, ultraviolet radiation accelerates photoaging, and people with white skin, visible dilated blood vessels, and an oncological predisposition are at risk, as well as those who are prescribed strong medications.

Those who take retinol complexes, hormonal contraceptives, and antibiotics should be especially careful about staying in the sun: they increase the photosensitivity of the skin.

It is not necessary to sunbathe for those who suffer from diabetes, infectious processes on the skin and neoplasms, pigmentation.

Mironova recalled that too high temperatures, along with dry air, accelerate skin dehydration, increase sebum production and inflammation. This can lead to acne and exacerbation of acne.

The specialist advised to thoroughly cleanse the skin, replace dense creams with light fluids, and use thermal water more often. You also need to drink more water in the summer.

Earlier, makeup artist Yulia Moskvicheva said that foundation is not able to provide the necessary protection for the skin from UV rays, so it is better to apply a product with SPF (sun protection factor) under it. According to Moskvicheva, you should purchase a product with an SPF level of 30 or higher for the city and SPF 50, for example, for the beach. It should be applied after makeup and before foundation.
