The most popular travel destinations among Russians are named

Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Italy were the most popular destinations for Russian tourists in 2025. This follows from the data of the Yandex Travel service, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 31.

At the same time, the demand for trips to Egypt, South Korea and China has increased significantly.

"In general, due to the month of favorable conditions, the number of bookings by Russians abroad increased by 20%," the experts noted.

At the same time, the service clarified that early booking of foreign trips for the May holidays and summer began 1-2 weeks earlier than in 2023 and 2024. 43% of trips occurred in February and March, and 32% in the "high season" (from May to September): 13% — for May holidays, 17% — for summer holidays.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Energy canceled the recommendations not to visit it and not to sell tours there.

Earlier, on March 27, it was reported that more than half of the Russians surveyed (55%) prefer independent travel planning. At the same time, 23% of respondents trust the planning of travel companies. Another 19% rely on the help of friends or family, and 3% use information from blogs and specialized applications.
