The expert gave advice to Russians who decided to change jobs.

If there are plans to change jobs, it is better to move to a place where conditions are significantly better, and if there is already a job offer. Vladislav Bykhanov, managing partner of the CORNERSTONE recruitment company, told Izvestia on March 30. He also noted that you should not get a job in an organization that your former colleagues invited you to join.

According to a survey conducted by CORNERSTONE, more than 50% of workers are afraid of cuts and lower wages. As the expert explained, in this situation, society begins to divide into "sensitive" and "logical." The "sensitive" ones believe that they have seen a lot of difficult situations, so they can hold out at their current place of work. The "logical" ones, on the contrary, start thinking about decisive actions — they look at vacancies, go for interviews.

"The most important thing now is not to be out of work at all, because the market is storming. And if you are ready to try your luck elsewhere, then it is better to move to a place where significant improvements in conditions await you and you have already been sent an offer of employment. Until you receive a job offer, do not leave your current location, go for interviews and negotiate in parallel," Bykhanov advised.

According to him, in no case should you go "nowhere", because there is a high risk of sitting around for a long time, since the labor market for this period of time is not merciful to the middle and upper levels.

"And don't go where former colleagues and bosses call you — remember that only 25% of such jobs can be called successful, a larger percentage of "jumpers" do not get good prospects in their new place "under the wing" of the old boss and quit for various reasons. Then these candidates can't find a job for a long time," he explained.
