- The Russian Embassy in Britain called the "coalition of willing" an attempt to disrupt the negotiations.

The plans of London and Paris to deploy a military contingent of the "coalition of the willing" in Ukraine are designed to disrupt the process of peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on March 28 by the Russian Embassy in the UK.
"We consider the continuation of the fuss started by London and Paris with the formation of an incomprehensible "coalition of the willing" to be a blatant attempt to disrupt the settlement," the diplomatic mission quoted TASS as saying.
The institution noted that any plans that the British and French are preparing will ultimately have zero results. Russia does not accept the deployment of Western military personnel in Ukraine, as such a development could lead to a direct clash between Russia and NATO, the mission stressed.
In particular, the embassy drew attention to the rhetoric of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to the diplomatic mission, his demands for a peaceful settlement are absurd, especially given London's intentions to disrupt the negotiation process.
"Instead of making far-fetched claims against Russia, London should stop covering for Kiev's protégés. Finally, we should pay attention to <...> attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Russian energy infrastructure, not to mention <...> the "hunt" for domestic journalists," the Russian representative office suggested.
The summit of the Coalition of the Willing was held in Paris on March 27. The meeting was attended by about 30 European leaders, including Starmer and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
French President Emmanuel Macron said at a press conference following the summit that Paris and London intend to deploy military personnel in places strategically important for Kiev in Ukraine. He clarified that he had agreed with Starmer to work together to provide Kiev with a "strong army."
On March 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called European politicians who advocate sending peacekeepers dreamers. In his opinion, with such proposals, these leaders prove their political inconsistency to the world on a daily basis.
