Szijjarto criticized the call for Europeans to prepare a "survival kit"

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto criticized Brussels' proposal to citizens to stock up on "survival kits." He stated this on March 28 in a video message posted on the Facebook social network (owned by the recognized extremist Meta company, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
"Yesterday, when we first heard that Brussels was offering the people of Europe to stock up on food for 72 hours, we thought it was some kind of trolling or a joke," Szijjarto said.
In his opinion, the 72-hour package for survival at the beginning of the 21st century is not necessary for the inhabitants of Europe. However, such a statement may mean that Brussels is preparing for an escalation of the conflict.
Szijjarto believes that after US President Donald Trump took office, there are more and more chances associated with a cease-fire and the beginning of constructive negotiations on peace in Ukraine. But despite this, according to the minister, Brussels opposes peaceful settlements.
He also noted that none of the countries of the European Union (EU) or NATO is in danger. However, if Brussels is now saying that the peoples of Europe should collect everything necessary for survival, therefore, it wants to prolong the conflict itself.
"We call on the European Commission and Brussels not to reject Donald Trump's peace efforts, but to support them. And we are waiting for an answer to the question of why it is necessary to collect supplies for 72 hours right now. Why does Brussels want to prolong the conflict, the peaceful efforts for which are now beginning to look very promising?" the minister concluded.
Earlier, on March 20, the PAP news agency, citing Weslav Lesniakiewicz, Deputy Minister of the Interior of Poland, reported that the country's authorities called on citizens to prepare for three days of autonomous survival without the help of government agencies. He also advised me to get a transistor radio.
