Madrid has promised Kiev to allocate €415 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine. This was announced on March 28 by the Spanish Foreign Ministry in a communique following a meeting between Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares and Ukrainian Minister of National Unity Alexei Chernyshov.

During the talks, the Spanish Foreign Minister assured the Kiev regime of Madrid's full support and expressed solidarity with Ukraine. He noted that in 2025, Spain intends to give Kiev € 1 billion for defense.

"Spain has also allocated €110 million for humanitarian aid, donated electric generators to alleviate the energy crisis <...> and promised to allocate €415 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine," the statement said.

In February, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhat announced that $524 billion would be needed to rebuild the country over the next decade. He noted that the restoration should become a global project that needs to start now.
