Denis Pasler, who has been in charge of the Orenburg Region since 2019, and who was appointed acting head of the Sverdlovsk Region, thanked the residents of the region for their joint work and apologized for possible shortcomings.

At the end of his speech, Pasler shed tears, asked for water and apologized emotionally.

"I wanted to apologize to everyone who, God forbid, I offended with a word or [for] not finishing the things that needed to be done," he said on March 28 at the presentation ceremony of the acting governor of the Orenburg region, Evgeny Solntsev.

Pasler stressed that he was confident in the further development and prosperity of the region thanks to Solntsev's support.

On March 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Pasler acting governor of the Sverdlovsk region in connection with the early resignation of the previous head of the region Evgeny Kuyvashev at his own request. In addition, in connection with Pasler's departure from the post of governor of the Orenburg region, Putin signed a decree appointing Evgeny Solntsev as acting governor of the region.
