By 2030, 85% of federal roads will be brought up to standard condition.

The new six-year plan for the development of the road network involves bringing 85% of federal highways and support roads to a standard state. This was announced on March 28 by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin at the final board of the Ministry of Transport.
Currently, 55% of all 500 thousand km of roads are in good condition.
"We will sign the plan today or tomorrow," he said.
The upcoming six-year plan will determine the development of not only roads, but also key settlements. These are small and medium-sized cities, as well as large agglomerations. The quality of life in them should rise by 30% by 2030, and by 60% by 2036, Khusnullin noted.
According to the results of the new six-year plan, the government plans to bring 60% of regional roads to a standard condition within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". At the same time, North-South and West-East transport routes will be developed. Detours will be built near 50 major cities. 9.2 trillion rubles have been allocated for all these purposes.
Earlier, on March 26, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that by the end of 2024, about 25 thousand km of roads had been built and repaired in Russia, from the largest multi—level interchanges to driveways in neighborhoods and courtyards.
