The expert named the basic rules of smartphone care

Smartphones have become indispensable assistants in people's lives, and the speed and quality of solving everyday tasks depend on their serviceability and efficiency. Alexander Dzhakonia, head of the MegaFon Subscriber Equipment Research and Testing center, told Izvestia how to maintain performance and extend the life of the gadget.
First, according to him, it is worth taking care of the proper power supply of the smartphone. Modern lithium-ion batteries operate on the principle of the constant movement of ions between the cathode and the anode. And the more often the user gives them a "rest" in a state of full discharge, the faster they "get tired". Fully discharging is also a way to prematurely age the battery.
The expert noted that the optimal charging mode is when the charge level does not fall below 40%. This approach allows you to keep the battery working for a longer period of time. However, he clarified that many manufacturers have already taken care of batteries by introducing smart charging technologies. This feature allows the device to independently control the process and avoid prolonged exposure to 100% charge.
Also, in his opinion, care should be taken to protect against external influences. The case protects against scratches and acts as an airbag in case of a fall, softening the impact and saving the device's body. Modern protective films and glasses prevent cracks and scratches on the screen, while maintaining touch sensitivity, and allow you to use all screen functions without loss of quality.
In addition, the expert added that it is important to keep in mind the ambient temperature. Cold and heat are the worst enemies of a smartphone. In the cold, the battery loses charge faster, and if it overheats, there is a risk of damage to the internal components. Therefore, you should not leave your phone in the sun or in a cold car.
Regular digital cleaning will be another helper in prolonging the life of a smartphone. Media files, cache, and unused applications accumulate and reduce device performance.
"The golden rule of free space is to keep at least 20% of the memory free. This is not just a recommendation, but a necessity for the stable operation of the system. When the memory is full, the operating system has difficulty creating temporary files, which leads to freezes and errors," warned Giakonia.
Earlier, on March 21, it was reported that during the year Apple rose from third place to first in the top 5 popular smartphones of Russians, displacing Xiaomi and Samsung to the second and third lines, respectively. Huawei occupies the fourth position, and Realme occupies the fifth. This is stated in the results of a study of the service for accepting online and offline payments in YUKASSA and the federal mobile virtual operator Sberbank Mobile.
